We can all experience difficult times in our lives, times when we feel overwhelmed by life events and unable to weather the storms that life can bring which may result in us suffering mentally, emotionally and physically. We may be faced with having to make difficult decisions, adjust to life changing events or suffer from what we feel is a general lack of direction and purpose in our lives. Other times, we may have unprocessed events, memories and feelings from our past which we didn't think mattered, but have suddenly caught up with us and are preventing personal growth and healing. For some, we may get to a place where we feel we are reaching breaking point and no longer feel hope for a better future.
Counselling offers a safe and confidential space for you to be heard. A space free from judgement where you will be respected at all times, whilst we explore and process together the issues that have bought you to therapy. Therapy is different for each person but you may want to look at the past, work on the present or question what matters to you and decide on goals for the future.
This will be your journey, but I will be at your side throughout, supporting you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences, memories, hopes and fears - ultimately resulting in a deeper understanding of yourself, your experiences and your world. With a greater understanding of self comes acceptance and empowerment, resulting in noticeable personal change and growth which can be used to enhance your life, increase emotional resilience, and move your life forward creating the future you wish for yourself.
